Florida Defensive Back Pledges to Kentucky

Florida continues to be a nice place for Joker Phillips and his staff, as they picked up yet another commitment from the Sunshine State on Wednesday.

Blake McClain, a corner-back out of Winter Park High School, gave his pledge to the Kentucky Wildcats at a press conference at his school. McClain chose the Wildcats over Pittsburgh, Illinois, and USF, among others.

The 5-foot-11 defensive back is ranked as the nation’s No. 54 corner-back, according to Rivals.com.

This is the Cats seventh commitment for the 2013 class, and the third from the state of Florida. McClain joins Alvonte Bell and Ramsey Meyers as players from Florida to commit to Phillips.
