If you follow me on twitter (and if you don’t click here), you already knew that I was at the Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers game last night to watch former Kentucky Wildcats DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo.
I don’t think I could have picked a better game to go to as Rondo and Cousins put on a show as the Kings beat the Pacers 108-106 on Hickory night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Rajon Rondo was absolutely jaw-dropping to me as he scored 13 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished out a game high 16 assists. If you haven’t watched Rondo play live, do yourself a favor, because he is worth buying a ticket for.
Take a look at just a couple of his plays:
DeMarcus Cousins also had a big night with 25 points, a season high 16 rebounds, and 3 block shots. Cousins was animated as ever, taking a beating all night and complaining about it, and even played a series with only 1 shoe.
Cousins is just so big, and coupling him with Rondo who always seems to find him, is in my opinion the best big man in the NBA.
Here are some of his top plays:
Here is video of Cousins going down hard and playing with 1 shoe:
It was a great game to be at with it going down to the final shot. The full highlights are below, with all the big plays down the stretch, and the movie “Hoosiers” themed Indiana Pacers introduction that put a tear in my eye.
