This begins a 3 part series of a look at the Kentucky running back upperclassmen which includes CoShik Williams and Raymond Sanders.
The first running back is 5-10, 223lb junior Jonathan George.
Jonathan played high school football at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Alabama.
He was redshirted his first season at Kentucky, which was 2009 and saw his first time on the field in 2010. He totaled 25 yards on 9 rushes with a long of 9 yards during his redshirt freshman season.
Last season he rushed 51 times for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns while seeing action in 11 games. He had his biggest game vs. Jacksonville State, rushing 10 times for 66 yards and scored his first collegiate touchdown in the win.
Jonathan George is looking to get more time on the field and even though he is splitting time with possibly 4 others I believe he will get some chances to make an impact.
If you are looking at the 3 upperclassmen, which includes CoShik Williams and Raymond Sanders, George has the least playing experience, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be ready when called upon.
As you can tell from the following interview(8/11), Jonathan George is working hard and you can tell he wants to win more than anything, just like his other running back teammates.
