Most Wildcat fans would agree that the Arkansas Razorbacks were beat from the 10-0 run at the beginning of the game. Five and a half minutes into the game, all of the Kentucky starters had scored as Arkansas was simply over matched. Pig fans might say that the game was a bit lopsided to begin with seeing how they had a hard played game on Thursday while UK has rested for a week but this is college basketball folks and that’s the way the pig roasts sometimes. Perhaps it is a little unfair to watch the speed of John Wall against anyone’s tired legs? Nah…

The top spot in the national rankings was at stake and the Kentucky Wildcats (19-0, 4-0) played with a lot of composure and a lot of heart while the Arkansas Razorbacks (8-11, 1-3) worked as hard as they could to prevent a blowout. A blow out is what happened, the final score was 101-70. Fans have been waiting for their Cats to go ahead and put a team away and that is exactly what they got today. In the first half we saw a 30 point lead, John Wall play through a bruised knee and DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins smiling to show off his freshly broken front tooth. The second half started and ended just like the first, with the Wildcats dominating.
We’re giving a shared MVP award today to Daniel Orton, Darius Miller and DeAndre Liggins. Orton was a blocking machine, Miller was nailing the 3’s and led all scorers with 18 and finally Liggins was all over the court, literally. Other notables include John Wall who scored 16 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists and DeMarcus Cousins who scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Without further ado, Ladies and Gentleman give it up for your #1 Kentucky Wildcats!
