On yesterdays “This Week In Kentucky Basketball” (the old Sunday morning coaches show), they covered the phone call with President Obama and a Daniel Orton player profile.
For the record, I do believe that this phone call from the president, didn’t help our chances of winning against South Carolina. It’s not Obama’s fault, but it seems there wasn’t enough done to make sure our guys were focused going into the game. I’m also sure it didn’t help Coach Cal’s focus either.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]I don’t know about you, but if I get a phone call from the President, my entire day is shot!! That’s a big day, win or lose. Twenty years from now, these guys will remember getting a phone call from President Obama and then they might remember the Carolina loss.
At the end of the day, it was an honor to get a call from the president and we have the best team in the country! Yes we have some work to do, but there’s no one with a higher ceiling than our Wildcats!
