Conspiracy Theory: Zone Anyone?

I know this discussion has come up in the past with the last coach, but I have to ask the question, “Are we going to play some zone?” I am a huge fan of giving teams different looks. I like for players to have to make decisions. If you throw a fastball everytime, sooner or later they are going to start knocking the cover off of the ball. Jim Boeheim lives by the 2-3 and is a Top 5 program on a routine basis. Just because you play zone doesn’t mean that it can’t be active and still put pressure on the opponent. We let guys drive through us all game vs. Auburn. They were shredding the lanes late into the second half. I know man to man pressure fits the style of the Dribble Drive motion offense but throwing a curveball every now and then will change the pace of the game into your favor. Now, I know that Coach Cal has forgot more about coaching the game of basketball then I know, and I am just throwing out a basic theory. I just would like to see more evidence of putting more thought into defense in relation to offense. I just wonder if Cal is thinking about throwing a changeup, or is he going to keep throwing the fastball?
