Getting ready for tonight’s NBA game at Rupp Arena between the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans, Ex-Cats now playing in the NBA for these teams talk about their “Home Coming”.
Although Anthony Davis only played for Kentucky one year and hasn’t lived here since spring 2012, every time he returns it’s like he is coming home. Whether it be playing the annual alumni game, or in the case tonight, playing an NBA exhibition game “it still feels amazing,” says Davis, “just brings back memories of when I played here.”
“It’s just amazing to realize the fan base that Kentucky has behind you. Whether you’re in the league or you’re playing here, they’re still going to support you no matter what.”
“No one does it better than Kentucky,” Davis said. “Once you see that, it’s one of the things that made me commit.”
That experience “opens your eyes to a lot of things.” He can still recall the exact spot where he was standing for Madness six years ago.

Anthony Davis will be joined by Sacramento Kings players DeMarcus Cousins, Willie Cauley-Stein and Rajon Rondo tonight in Rupp Arena starting at 7:00 pm.
