John Wall wins player of the year, Demarcus Cousins wins freshman of the year, Patterson is first team All-SEC, but their coach gets the cold shoulder. How could you NOT give Coach Calipari the SEC Coach of The Year award?
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]Calipari managed to take a team that was in the NIT a year before and lead them to an SEC Championship and made them the best team in the nation (arguably). Maybe his critics feel he’s not a good coach and he only wins because of the high level of talent. I would still argue that recruiting is part of coaching, especially in this day and age. I just don’t understand it..
