Calipari and Boogers! Yes, I said “Boogers” – Alabama Vs. Kentucky Pre-Game Warmup

While Kentucky enjoyed their day off, Alabama was making a dramatic comeback against South Carolina. After being down 18 points, the Crimson Tide pulled it out for Anthony Grant’s first win in SEC Tournament play (and hopefully it’s his last)

Let’s take a quick look at Alabama…
This is Anthony Grant’s first season as the head coach of the Crimson Tide. I personally think he’s done an outstanding job considering what he had to work with. He leads his team into each game with everyone believing they can win. That makes Alabama a very dangerous team if they can keep it close late into the second half.

Alabama also has Kentucky connections with their assistant coach John Brannen. A former player at Morehead State and assistant coach at Eastern Kentucky University, Brannen is known as one of the best recruiters in the SEC. That is something the Crimson Tide desperately needed after the “booger” incident. I mean really, who wants to play for a coaching staff that eats boogers?

It’s tournament time and I can’t imagine UK coming out flat. I would expect to see the same type of energy we played with when we played North Carolina and Connecticut earlier this season. Except this time, we need to start putting teams away.

Here are the four factors of winning

Here’s what Calipari had to say about today’s game against Alabama.
