Video: CATS Talk About Their Win and Inside The Boxscore

I don’t think you could ask for a better opening round performance to the NCAA Tournament. They definitely answered any questions about their focus and energy level. The CATS came out to handle their business and it showed.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
Super Mario Errrr…. Bledsoe lead all scores with 29 points and went 8-9 form the three point line. This sets a new school record for most three pointers in a NCAA Tournament (previously held by Tony Delk). As a team, UK shot over 45% from three point line and over 50% from the game (yes, there was a lot of dunks). Saying they were “Hot”, would be a severe understatement.

It was only a couple of weeks ago when I watched a countless number of analyst explain why Kentucky would never win a national Championship. They would explain that the CATS just couldn’t shoot well enough to win. If anyone was watching the entire season (not just one game), you would know that these guys can shoot.

Section137 is busy with the Boys Sweet Sixteen, so I’ll take a shot at Inside The Boxscore….

Bledsoe - Unbelievable! Set’s a new UK record for most three pointers in a NCAA Tournament game

Patterson – Active! It seemed like Patterson never stopped tonight. He was always moving and always seemed to be on the receiving end of an alley-oop.

Wall – Can you say the next Magic Johnson? Wall finished with a double-double by dishing out 11 assist and 17 points.

Cousins – With only 5 points and 8 rebounds, it was obvious what ETSU was worried about. They were worried about the Boogie Man! ETSU double, triple and quadruple teamed him and the rest of the CATS made them pay. He was the decoy tonight, but he was still a beast.

Orton – Lexington S.W.A.T.! With 8 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks, Orton owned the paint!
