View from Section 137:No Shower, No Worries

When I heard the alarm this morning, well I think i heard the alarm this morning, I thought I would sleep for a couple more minutes. One hour later, I jumped up and put on my collared UK Shirt and headed to work. No shower. It made for a zombie like morning. I felt like the same way St.Mary’s looked vs. Baylor this evening. It didn’t matter though, the Cats are one game from the Final Four and I would do it every morning if it gets the Cats to #8. Lets get to the day that was:

[*]I wasn’t the only one dragging this morning. One of the students at the elementary school I teach at walked in, decked out head to toe in blue, and gave the secretary a written excuse for his tardiness. The note went something like this: “Sorry for my son being tardy, but we were up really late because of the Kentucky game last night. Please excuse this. Thank you.” That is your “Only in Kentucky” moment for the day. I thought it was great.
[*]It is so hard to root for Tennessee. I watched the OSU/UT game and I really couldn’t tell you who I hate more. I live right across the river from Portsmouth, OH and I hated having to go over there during football season. It is Buckeye City at Wal Mart on a Saturday morning, with more beer being bought than from a bootlegger during the prohibition. I wished they would have played all night, go into 5 overtimes, and ended in a tie. I didn’t get lucky though as Tennessee is going to their first Elite 8 ever.
[*]The WVU game has turned into a Patrick Patterson moment. Being from Huntington, I am sure Pat feels a little extra for this one as growing up he had to deal with a lot of Mountaineer fans. It is no wonder Pat is such a great kid, he found out real quick on how not to act.
[*]Bob Huggins was asked today on how Morgantown would react if they made it to the Final Four. ““They’d be dancing in the streets. They’d probably shut things down for a day and have a big time.” Actually Bob, they probably wouldn’t “shut things down,” those people would ”burn things down!”
[*]If I didn’t want anyone to take anything from this website, I would take measures to make sure it did not happen in the first place. Larry Vaught over at www.vaughtsviews.com makes sure of this by copyrighting his page and not letting anyone copy any text or download any pictures. You would think a major newspaper would take the time to do this.
[*]Evan Turner got blocked as time ran out while shooting a 3 as the Buckeyes lost. He also missed a crucial driving layup about 10 seconds before that. I still like John Wall as the Player of the Year. I’m not biased either.
[*]In yesterday’s view, I mentioned going to Buffalo Wild Wings in Portsmouth tomorrow to watch the game. If you are in the Ashland area and want to watch the game come on over. It should be nice and blue since Buckeye fans will be home reading about football recruiting. Shoot me an email at ”][email protected] if you are running by. I might even bring my laptop for the live blog. Maybe.
