Kentucky picked up a win over a top-25 opponent for the first time in 19 tries with a 21-13 win over Missouri on Saturday. UK moves to 3-1 on the season and 2-1 in SEC play for the second consecutive season. The Cats’ defense held Mizzou to 13 points, the fewest points allowed by UK against a ranked foe since 1993.
Patrick Towles went 22-for-27 for 249 yards and two TDs. Towles now ranks eights in UK history with 3,775 career passing yards.
Jojo Kemp led UK with 13 rushes for 66 yards, including a 17-yard rush. Kemp now has 1,005 career rushing yards.
Cory Johnson had a career-high 11 tackles.
