It really has been a wild 24 hours. The assistant coaching search has begun and all signs look to Kenny Payne. The hire could be a huge one to help alleviate some of the recruiting responsibilities on Coach Cal. Also, with Terrence Jones still undecided, it could play a part in him making a final decision within the week. Some of my friends have been trying to get me to say “I told you so” about this situation, but I won’t do that. Not at least until it is official!

[*]A new 2011 recruit was talked about last night and his name is Arnett Moultrie. I have heard that Kentucky tops his list of destinations, and it would be an excellent fit with all the other newcomers already committed to Kentucky. This kid looks dominating, and would be someone that could easily take the place of Kanter if indeed he is one and done.
[*]Kadeem Jack is still a possibility for Kentucky as he will decide between the Cats and UNC.
[*]Eloy Vargas will be on campus to visit Kentucky tomorrow. It will probably be the weekend he becomes a Cat. I have been saying this for so long I am glad this is going to finally happen.
[*]Chris Hill could probably cut Oregon off the list if Payne does become an assistant at UK. Payne is currently recruiting Chris for the Ducks. Could this make it easier for Hill to come to Kentucky? Not if Jones does.
[*]Rajon Rondo is a very special player. Can you believe Tubby started Brandon Stockton over him at one time? I would say Stockton is still bragging about that.
[*]My Cincinnati Reds have won 5 in a row now, coming off back to back shut outs over the Pirates. The Reds start a huge early season series at home vs. Albert Pujols and the Cardinals. I am going next Tuesday vs. the Brewers, so I hope they stay hot for my arrival in the Queen City.
[*]I appreciate all the support from the Nation of Blue fanbase, and hopefully you have enjoyed all the off season recruiting news. I have tried my best to get the best, most accurate information I can find and let you guys know what I know. I know I will end up being wrong one of these days and I am sure I will take a beat down for it from all of the other blogs. This is ok! It has been an unbelievable thrill ride for me so far, and I look forward to it getting better and better as we learn more about the blogging world and maybe realize what the hell we are doing. Thanks again Nation and Go Big Blue!!
