Barkley Talks About Cousins And Bledsoe

Your favorite NBA commentator has decided to comment on Demarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe. He may not be your favorite commentator, but he is definitely mine…or should I say “he was my favorite”. After seeing how he feels about two of our CATS, I’m not sure I can even look at the guy without throwing something at my TV.

Here’s what Chuck had to say about Cousins and Bledsoe when Birmingham News writer Kevin Scarbinsky interviewed him after a round of golf…..
I asked Charles Barkley if Birmingham native DeMarcus Cousins is ready for the NBA, which is where he’s headed after one season at Kentucky.

Barkley said, “No. He’s too immature. He’s got plenty of talent. It won’t come down to talent. It’ll come down to maturity. He’s a very, very talented kid. From a maturity standpoint, he’s not ready for the NBA.”

What about another early entry, Birmingham native and Kentucky freshman Eric Bledsoe?
“He’s more of a question mark,” Barkley said. “I don’t know enough about his maturity, but he’s not a slam-dunk NBA player.”

Like, say, John Wall?

“Yeah. He’s not that.”
I really think Cousins is going to surprise a lot of people and we’ve yet to see the real Erick Bledsoe.

One things for sure, this isn’t the craziest thing Barkley has ever said and in case you missed it, here are some highlights…..
