It looks like Coach Calipari has done it for the second year in a row: pulled in the number one recruiting class in the nation. Stacey Poole, Brandon Knight, Enes Kanter, Doron Lamb and now Eloy Vargas (and he’s not even a freshman) make up the current list of new players and this list could still grow. While Kentucky Fans sit around and drool on what is to come, Billy D. and the rest of the SEC surely sit around fuming mad and wonder what they can do.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
Without a doubt, the SEC will always consist of strong opponents and as we learned last year going undefeated in the SEC is a tough job even with the hottest talent. You surely have a better chance when you do have the talent though, and that is something that Billy D. and others missed out on last year and will this year. I keep mentioning Donovan here because he has already lost a couple of key recruits to Coach Cal and this year we have a couple of home state players and an ex Gator right from under his paws.
We don’t have sandy beaches and it sure get’s cold in Kentucky. The humidity sucks just as bad as the “redneck jokes” about us. The fans however, are the best in the world. Stacey, Brandon and Eloy: Welcome to Kentucky!
