Magic Is No Match For Rondo’s Hustle

I’ll start by saying that I’m a Rondo fan and I always have been. From the first day he stepped on the floor for UK, there was just something about him that made me a fan. If you’re not a Rondo fan, just watch the video below, and I’m sure he’ll start to win you over. His hustle last night was something that makes you proud to be a CAT fan.

It’s not dominating offense or an over the top personality that makes Rondo good. It’s his hustle! He plays every game like it’s his last. Hustling after every loose ball and doing the dirty work has made him an All-Star and the leader of his team.

His teammates actually look to him to set the tone of the game. You can actually see them following his direction throughout the game. Why is that impressive? Because the Celtics starting lineup has three future hall of fame players. They didn’t have to accept Rondo as part of their lineup, but they did. Not only did they accept Rondo, they respect him. Rondo earned that respect by playing hard every second of every game.

There’s never an excuse for lack of hustle, and Rondo’s example has made the team better and arguably given a couple more years of greatness to an aging Celtics lineup.

Also, make sure you take a peek at the pic at the bottom of the article. It’s just something I noticed last night as I watched the game. I thought you would enjoy…Now here’s the play that should make every UK fan proud.

And while we’re talking Celtics. Did anyone else notice how goofy Big Baby Davis looks? Do you think he’s making that face on purpose?
