Brandon Knight Still Confident About UK Decision Even After Bledsoe Article

Many fans have been wondering what impact the Bledsoe story may have on this year’s and next year’s recruits. It’s a story I’m sure every recruit is paying attention to, including Brandon Knight, Michael Gilchrist and Marquis Teaque.

In an article on Kentucky.com, Jerry Tipton gives us some insight into how each recruit and their parents are taking the information.

Michael Gilchrist Mother Cynthia Richardson…
”Our decision is sound,” said Cynthia Richardson, the mother of Gilchrist. She said her son, the No. 1-rated player in the high school class of 2011, had “no intention” of reconsidering his commitment to Kentucky.
Tonya Knight Mother of Brandon Knight
”I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the NCAA says and go from there,” said Tonya Knight, the mother of Brandon Knight.

“My son is going to Kentucky,” she said.
Shawn Teague father of Marquis Teague..
Shawn Teague, the father of Marquis Teague, arguably the best point guard in the high school class of 2011, said it was too early to know what to think about the New York Times story. He said he hoped the questions about Bledsoe’s remarkable improvement academically and the improper benefits were not true.

“You have to see how it plays out to know how you feel about it,” he said.
It’s good to see Brandon Knight still confident in his decision to come to UK and I’m sure the others will follow suit. This is definitely something that would rattle a high a school junior, so waiting to see how “it plays out” should be the expected response from those players.
