I have been wondering for a while now when Kenny Payne was going to be officially introduced as the new assistant coach and it looks like it will be this week. Coach Cal told Kent Spencer from WTVQ today that Payne was coming to Lexington this week and I am sure there will be a press conference sometime in the near future.
Now I know everyone has heard of Payne’s recruiting abilities so it has me wondering about the next recruit Coach Cal mentioned after Terrence Jones landed in Lexington. It has been very quiet for a while on the next recruit but I did hear one name today. Royce White’s name was kicked around earlier before Jones committed and today was the first time I had heard it since then. I have tried contacting the former Minnesota Golden Gopher but he has not returned my call at this time. Hopefully I will hear more as the week goes on. Also, don’t forget to welcome Kenny Payne to the Bluegrass if you see him around town!!!
