Brandon Knight – A Shot Maker?

In Calipari’s dribble drive motion offense, the ability to move quickly and create your own shot are key characteristics for players that fit into the scheme. John Wall and Eric Bledsoe both were great examples of players that fit well into it. They were both very athletic around the basket and could get there with lightening speed. Brandon Knight will have to pick up where they left off.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

Watching video’s of Knight makes me think that he might have an upper hand on Wall and Bledsoe. I’m not saying he will (or will not) be better. All I am saying is that he has a jump shot that appears more consistent that the previous back court. And that’s a jump shot that could make him more so of a defensive knightmare (did you like that?). If he can start the drive, pull up for the jumper and make it with any consistency he could easily be the leading scorer for the Wildcats.

Here are a couple of videos to review. The first demonstrates his ability to create his own shots inside as well as hit some jumpers.

This video of a basic workout is to demonstrate his shooting ability. Ok, it shows he can jump too!
