The NCAA already knew of the relationship between Wall and Clifton, which is why Wall had to sit out the games at the beginning of the season and repay money to Clifton for unofficial visits.

I’m told that a possible agreement between the two while Wall was a student-athlete is part of what’s at issue in the NCAA’s current investigation into the Kentucky basketball program.

Do you think there are video or audio tapes of John Wall and Brian Clifton saying that there was an agreement? What about something in writing? If I like a girl back in high school and I don’t talk to her for a year, but decide I like her again, is that a crime? I have had a feeling for a while that something would come up about this relationship. Just sit tight Cat fans, this is going to be a long drawn out process.
