There have been many rumors circulating about Darnell Dodson this off-season. It started when Calipari mentioned the number of scholarships that would be available, leading people to speculate that Dodson’s must have become available. Later Calipari made comments that seemed to slow that rumor. The grapevine really grew when Terrence Jones announced via Twitter that he would be wearing #3 next year.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
Truth, is, there has been no official response regarding Dodson until recently when Robic made answered some questions during the UK Ohio Convention. “Dodson is eligible. Don’t believe everything you hear,” said Robic. He also reportedly answered “yes” quickly when asked if Dodson definitely would be at Kentucky next season. “We need him to be a better 3-point shooter, a better defender, a better player. But that’s true with all five guys coming back,” Robic said.

So after all the hoopla, it sounds like Dodson will be playing next year. Personally I think we need him. Although his time was limited last year, he shown signs of great potential with the jump shot; a factor that could have made a difference if hit more consistently last year.
