In an absolute no surprise announcement, Coach Calipari said that Enes Kanter will not join the team on their trip to Canada.

I am told that he will be interviewed by the NCAA, concerning his amateur status, while the team is in Canada.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

The 6-11 freshman has yet to be released by the NCAA. Academically he is eligible, but the NCAA has yet to clear him as an amateur, which all stems from his participation with a professional team in Turkey.

Coach Calipari made the following statements |

“He won’t be making the trip because we’ve heard nothing right now,” said Calipari. “He’s with his father, who’s in the country, and he’ll probably be with him the next couple weeks until he comes back.”

Enes has built a buzz around the Big Blue Nation as he is already being touted as one of the top ten picks in the 2011 Draft.

Since we can’t see him in Kentucky Blue and White this weekend, we thought we would provide you a little Kanter tearing up his All Star opponents at the 2010 Nike Hoops Summit.
