Has LeBryan Nash Removed Kentucky From His List of Possible’s?

’UPDATED'

2011 Kentucky target LeBryan Nash has had Kentucky high on his list with the last reports having Baylor, Kentucky and Oklahoma State as his Top 3 schools. All three have offered Nash a scholarship along with seven others.

A report came out this morning indicating that Nash may have removed Kentucky from his final list of schools. Scout.com interviewed Nash’s AAU Coach Tony Johnson and here is what he had to say about LeBryan’s current recruiting status…

SCOUT | Is there a timetable for him to make a decision?

Johnson | No, not really. He’s narrowed it down to like five schools. I hope he makes a decision (Monday) but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I’m tired of moving around with him. We can keep going or we can stop.

SCOUT | Why do you say that?

Johnson | We’ve already seen everything at all the schools. He just needs to sit down and figure out … everybody is saying the same things now, there isn’t anything different now.

SCOUT | There’s a story circulating that LeBryan wanted to commit to Baylor a few weeks ago but you asked him to hold off until taking one more trip to Oklahoma State. Is that true?

Johnson | Nah, that’s a rumor. It is down to Baylor, Oklahoma State and Kansas, and maybe a couple other schools too. He’s going to take a visit to all three schools.
Nash is the overall No. 4 player in the 2011 Class. He’s a 6-7, 225lb Small Forward who, when things are clicking, is an offensive machine who does not hunt his shot. He’s a beast in the post when he wants to take his defender down in the paint, but his most impressive improvement over the Summer, was the development of his perimeter game.

We have confirmed with Evan Daniel of Scout.com, that this is in fact NOT a mistake. Nash has in removed Kentucky from his list of Top 3 schools. I asked Daniel if this was a misquote and his response was ”not a misquote at all…”.

This is a loss, but for a Class that will once again be ranked No. 1 overall, not as big of a loss as it would be for any of the three schools remaining on Nash’s list…

Go Cats!!
