Maybe we’ve found the reason for all of Coach Matthew Mitchell’s success at the University of Kentucky.
Forget that he obviously is a talented recruiter and developer of talent and that he took a program to The Elite 8 last year. Forget that he knows how to inspire his team to greatness through obvious prophetic words.

Maybe, and just maybe, his real secret is in his singing. When things get tough on the court, Coach Mitchell might break out into a little John Mellencamp in the huddle, or if the team is rattled, some calming Elton John at halftime or if he needs to get really tough with the team, some Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Of course, his success could just be the fact that he is a dang good Coach. One thing, he’s got more talent then just the on court stuff…
