John Wall Hopes to Make Team USA in the Future

USA chairman Jerry Colangelo said that Wall is “on our radar screen going forward” but his first appearance will likely not come until the 2014 world championships in Madrid.

But don’t think that Wall is intimidated by the challenge. When I mentioned all of the elite players at his position last month, Wall just shrugged. “I don’t know, I feel I can play with anybody,” Wall said before admitting, “It’s going to take time.”

Wall then started breaking down the point guards in the world championships. “Those guys are very experienced,” he said. “You got guys like Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook coming into his own, and surprising people on this level. And you have a great veteran guy like Chauncey Billups that knows how to run a team and make shots.”
