Kentucky Basketball: Coach Antigua Visits 2012 Recruit Kyle Anderson

He’s 6-8 tall, weighs 215 lbs and plays Point Guard. That’s right, Point Guard.

Rivals ranks him as the 5th best player overall in the Class of 2012, and number 1 at his position.

Rivals had this to say about his play at the iS8/Nike Tip Off Classic, “Merriam-Webster defines dominant as “commanding or prevailing over all others.” Anyone who was in attendance witnessed a dominant performance by Kyle Anderson.”

Coach Cal is hot on the trail of Kyle, already offering him a scholarship and today sending Coach Orlando Antigua to visit Kyle. Kyle tweeted this earlier tonight:
S\O (Shoutout) to coach Antigua from Kentucky coming to see me today a Open Gym..
So what’s new here? Not much really, just Coach Calipari doing his normal thing, recruiting the top Point Guard in the Class, a tradition he brought to Kentucky.

I don’t know if Kyle will wear the blue and white of UK in the 2012-13 season, but Calipari is wasting no time in showing his interest.

Here is Kyle in action:
