Looking at the Kentucky Wildcats schedule, it’s soothing to see basketball on the menu. The football season is far from over, but fans haven’t been pleased with the results this year. Although 7-5 is still possible the only bright point of the season will be the win over South Carolina. Deep down, fans were looking for 8-4 with contention in the SEC. Two games ago, that was a real possibility. Today we realize it was just a pipe dream.

Expectations were high at the beginning of the season. Football fans today don’t have high hopes for the rest of the season. That doesn’t mean that Big Blue Nation won’t support the Wildcats for the rest of the season, but today the focus will shift to the basketball court. And as usual, expectations are high in Big Blue Nation.

Over the past several weeks, the Wildcats head coach John Calipari has tried to lighten the expectations. It hasn’t worked though. Fans are excited and looking for another typical Calipari successful season; 30 wins. Next Up: Kentucky Basketball.
