[*]Is it just me, or does Josh Harrellson look a lot better than Eloy Vargas? Josh ended up with 13 and 7 and Eloy ended up with 10 and 2. We need someone that can bang, and Eloy really doesn’t look like he likes a whole lot of contact.
[*]Terrence Jones was a monster again tonight as he dominated the game at times. Jones will be up and down as the season goes one, but I would predict there will be a whole lot more ups than downs.
[*]Brandon Knight keeps proving that he is the best player on this team. At least the UK media thinks so, as he is the only player to be asked out for postgame interviews after every game so far.
[*]Jon Hood had 18. Does it really matter? When asked about Jon Hood in the press conferece after the game, Coach Cal said, “Let me tell you what Doron did.”
[*]Jarrod Polson continues to be the crowd favorite as one of the biggest ovations all night was when he made one free throw.
[*]The 3 point shooting was stellar as they shot 11-19 from the arc. That was considerably better than the 1-11 in the Pikeville game. If this team shoots the 3 like they did tonight they will be tough to beat.
Tonight was a good exibition game, but that is what I keep telling myself. It was just an exibition game. The real season starts next Friday as the Mocs come to Lex and try to revenge their 1st round tournament loss to the Cats a year ago. I am looking forward to going 1-0 and getting the season going. See you then.. Go Cats!!
