Terrence Jones Is Going Home

Kentucky Wildcat frosh Terrence Jones is going home this week. And he hopes to get a reaction like Jarrod (Polson) does when he get’s to take the court. On Friday night, Terrence Jones will try to lead his Wildcats to a victory over his hometown Portland Pilots as the Cats make their way towards Hawaii for the Maui Classic. The game on Friday don’t start until 10:30pm so you might need to get a nap after work to be able to watch it.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

In the early stages of the season, and as Coach Cal has suggested in the pre-season, the Wildcats cannot overlook any opponent and they may struggle early. That wasn’t the case in their first outing when the Wildcats were red hot shooting the ball against ETSU. They are going to have to shoot it well against Portland this Friday night to match the Pilots shooting from behind the arc. The Pilots shot 9-14 from 3-point land in their last outing.

Having a chance to play in front of family and friends, who by the way he tells to “talk to his mom” when they ask for tickets, Jones is expected to have a huge game. He’ll most likely carry the same emotion he had in the second half against ETSU into this match against the Pilots. The big question mark is how the rest of the Wildcats will far in their first real road game.

Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb both stated that the crowd cheering them on in Rupp on Friday helped during the game. In this game, you can expect an excited Portland crowd to be as hostile as they ever have been, having a chance to enjoy the national spotlight. Even if only for 2 hours. The Pilots will be ready, the crowd will be ready and Wildcat fans will be ready for a late night.

The game will be shown on ESPNU, can be heard on the radio on BBSN and there will most likely be a live stream of the game along with an open chat room available here on Nation of Blue. See you then!
