Tonight is the second game for the Cats, as they play the Portland Pilots(hence the title). The Cats are 6.5 point favorites vs. a team that has the #1 3 point shooter in the nation. Shooting the 3 is the focus of tonight’s game, because I am very interested to see if Kentucky can shoot outside the arc as well as they did last game vs. ETSU. It will also be interesting to see if Darius starts or comes off of the bench. It would be really nice to see them come out hot and dash any hopes of the Pilots crashing our bon voyage party before the plane leaves for Maui. I am going to go with a prediction of Cats by 12. Lets check out some news.

[*]Kyle Anderson of St. Anthony’s Prep in New Jersey is another top point guard that Coach Cal has his sights on. Anderson has a great last name, and is in the 2012 class.
[*]I got my new Sports Illustrated today, well I guess it was today, I don’t check my mail very often. SI had the Men’s team ranked #19 and the Women’s team ranked #9. The article talked about the pivotal game for the Cats is the UNC game, and how well the team rebounded defensively vs. probably the best offensive rebounding team in the nation, the Tarheels. It also had a good article on Brandon Knight and how smart he is in the classroom. I am dying to ask Brandon what the square root of 3476578 is after a game, but I always forget.
[*]Ryan Mossakowski was said to do really well in the scrimmage this past week. I really like Moss better than Newton, and for some reason I still think one of these guys will eventually transfer.
[*]Randall Cobb is getting his jersey retired at Alcoa High School tonight. That has to be a great feeling for Randall. Maybe they will take him to Red Lobster after the game.
[*]Everyone seems so excited about playing Washington at Maui. I’m not much at looking past games, because we have to play Oklahoma before we ever think about the Huskies. Heck, Washington has to play too. I would like to play them though.
[*]I am expecting a lot better game tonight from Darius Miller. I look for him to be alot more assertive on the offensive end and maybe take some shots when he shouldn’t. I think Coach Cal would be more happy with Darius taking bad shots then him passing it to Josh Harrellson.
[*]Thought I would share a quick story in closing. A teacher at my school happened to be wearing a Louisville shirt today. I really hate Louisville, as most people that read this blog probably do. Well, she came in the lunchroom, which happens to be the gym too, and I had a kindergarten class waiting to have PE. I ran over to my class of rambunctious 5 year olds and told them to start chanting Go Big Blue! The class begin chanting very loudly and the reaction by the teacher was classic. All of the other people in the gym at the time started clapping for my class. Great Stuff!! I teach my classes the right way for sure.. Go Cats!!
