Davon Durant, the top junior college linebacker in the nation, is planning to visit the University of Kentucky this weekend.
Durant, who is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, doesn’t know which day he’ll be in Lexington but did confirm that he is planning a visit for this coming weekend.
“They (UK) are working on getting it all set up,” Durant told me via phone this evening.
Kentucky is showing renewed interest in the 6-foot-2, 240-pound Durant.
“I was talking to Kentucky in the Spring,” Durant explained. “I just recently started talking with them again.”
Durant admitted that he doesn’t know a whole lot about Kentucky, but he believes the Wildcats have a big need at his position.
“Honestly, I don’t know a lot about Kentucky, but I know they have a need,” he said.
Durant originally committed to South Carolina, but later flipped to Arizona State. He has also been hearing from Oregon. He is currently at Butler County (Kan.) Community College.
