Saturday Fan Of The Day And Other Important Stuff

The Bobby Knightless Indiana Whoosiers are in town to take on our boys in blue today for the 54th time in this storied match up. Nation of Blue plans on having our traditional live feed and live blog so be sure and come on over and chat with The Nation.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]Today is also when we recognize our next Fan of the Day… Meet Jakob. Jakob is 5 years old, obviously a HUGE Kentucky fan, His favorite football player is #18, Randall Cobb, his favorite basketball player is #12, Brandon Knight, and the last I heard, he was heading up the Free Enes movement within his kindergarten class.

Jakob, if you’re successful with the Cree Enes movement, I’m going to have to ask you to take charge of the “Keep Cobb at Kentucky” movement…

Jakob and mom, thanks for submitting the picture…

Here is some quick notes of the day…

Rodney Purvis, a high Kentucky recruit, has apparently committed to the Louisville Cardinals and Coach Rick Pitino. Rodney was rated as the No. 1 Point Guard and No. 8 overall Player in the Class of 2012. If the commitment holds up, it means Coach Calipari would not get the No. 1 Point Guard for the first time since at UK. Rumors are that Shabazz Muhammad and Purvis want to play together, if that occurs it would almost lock Louisville into the No. 1 or 2 overall recruiting spot for the Class of 2012.

Some big name recruits are in town for the weekend, DeAndre Daniels and L J Rose to name a couple. News is that DeAndre Daniels could become a Wildcat on the current UK team. He is actively looking to see if he can find a fit that would allow him to enroll in January and become immediately eligible. This would be a major boost in the arm for the Cats. See N of B’s full article on Daniels HERE.
