NBA of the Day

There were only two NBA games of relevance to Cat fans last night, but one of them was epic. The first game was Jodie Meeks and the 76ers vs. Indiana. Philadelphia lost 111-103, with Meeks having an okay game. He shot 4 of 10 (3 of 5 from 3-pt) and made both of his free throw attempts for 13 points total. Jodie also added 3 assists and 2 rebounds in his 30:44 of play, finishing with a -4 over/under.

The second game pitted freshmen phenoms John Wall (Wizards) and DeMarcus Cousins (Kings) against each other in the highest scoring Wizards outing since December 2006. Cousins shot 4 of 19 from the field and 2 of 6 free throws for 10 points total. Playing for 37:17, Cousins also had 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block (-11 over/under). His Kings lost 136-133 in overtime.

John Wall had a slightly better game for Washington, shooting 6 of 19 from the field and making all 10 of his free throws for 22 points overall. He added 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals to finish out his stat line. Wall had to exit the game in overtime due to leg cramps and did not return.

In addition to (or maybe because of) the scoring bonanza, it seems the timekeeper was not paying attention at one point.
