Twany Beckham File

It has been all quiet on the Nation of Blue homefront on Twany Beckham. There have been rumors since Thursday that Beckham, a 6’5″ point guard, was going to transfer to UK from Mississippi State. I wasn’t allowed to say anything.. I wasn’t #wrongonpurpose, I was #shuttinguponpurpose.

I knew the questions would start on who this transfer is, so here ia a little background on our new Wildcat.

Beckham began his career at Louisville Ballard ,so you can see one reason for the transfer, besides being in the most successful basketball program in the nation.

Twany played one year at MSU and didn’t play the last 3 games due to injury. He played in the last 32 games of the 2008/09 season and was one of MSU’s first players off the bench.
He averaged 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds.

Beckham was then redshirted after having surgery on both hips to remove bone spurs.
Had first surgery in September in Nashville, then returned to the Music City in December for second surgery.

This looks like a project for Coach Cal. Beckham will walk on and if he improves in the DDM then maybe Cal can turn him into a player. If that happens, Twany might receive a scholarship.

I like the free chance we get with Beckham to walk on. I wasn’t too excited if he was going to take a scholarship away from the possibility of Trevor Lacey.

Here are the videos I found on Beckham on youtube.
