Limited NBA action last night, but I did notice something interesting about former Cats in the NBA. Kentucky has 13 alumni currently in the NBA, and 7 of those are starters – that’s 54%. I don’t know of any other university with that kind of representation.
Although Miami played (and lost to) Atlanta, Jamaal Magloire did not see the floor. He was listed as a ‘DNP – Coach’s decision’.
Nazr Mohammed and the Bobcats faced off against Keith Bogans and the Bulls, with Charlotte getting the win 83-82. Mohammed shot only 1 of 4 from the field and 1 of 2 from the line for 3 points on the night. He did get 8 rebounds, winding up with a +5 over/under in 18-plus minutes of play.
Bogans shot only 1 of 3 (it was a 3-pointer) for 3 points, adding a rebound and an assist to finish out his 16:47 of playing time. He achieved a +3 over/under, as he continues starting for the Bulls despite consternation from Chicago fans.
