Rajon Rondo and the Celtics faced off against Utah last night and pulverized them, 110-86. For his part, Rondo was only 2 of 6 from the field (4 points total) adding 12 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. He finished his 31:27 of play with a bodacious +29 over/under.
Detroit (Tayshaun Prince) lost to New Jersey, 89-74. Prince was an unimpressive 6 of 17 shooting (35%), but made both of his 3-point attempts and both of his free throws for 16 points on the night. He tallied 3 assists, a steal and a block to finish out his stat line at -11 over/under.
Chuck Hayes and Patrick Patterson couldn’t lift Houston over Memphis as the Rockets lost 115-110. Hayes did shoot 63% (5 of 8 for 10 points total) and added 7 rebounds, 4 assists and a blocked shot. His over/under was +10.
Patterson shot only 1 of 4 (2 points total), and came away with 2 rebounds, a steal and a block. His over under was -2 in 11:11 of play.
Orlando spanked Toronto 112-72, but Orton was inactive.
Demarcus Cousins’ Kings lost to Golden State 119-112. Cousins shot a respectable 8 of 17 from the field and 5 of 8 from the line for 21 points on the night. He also nabbed 8 rebounds, 5 assists, a blocked shot and a steal to finish +1 over/under.
The Wizards (John Wall) dropped one to Phoenix, 109-91. Wall scored on only 4 of 13 shooting (31%) and made 3 of 5 free throws (11 points total). His assists continue to impress, however as he garnered 14 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
