Simpson formally played for Illinois under Bruce Weber, but both felt it was best for Simpson to transfer after seeing limited playing time his freshman season at Illinois.
The 6’10 220lbs Simpson is averaging around 17 pts & 10 rebs at John A. Logan Junior College this season.
