Kentucky junior DeAndre Liggins was involved in a postgame altercation with an Ole Miss player following today’s SEC Tournament game.
Brett Dawson of the Courier-Journal reported that Ole Miss player Reginald Buckner was the Rebel who was primarily involved and the two teams had to be separated.
Here is an excerpt of Dawson’s article:
[QUOTE]Buckner would not address the altercation afterward.
“No comment,” he said twice before an Ole Miss athletics staffer took him into a private office in the Rebels’ locker room.
Liggins said Buckner “lost his composure.”
“I just didn’t react to him,” Liggins said. “Of course I was going to defend myself if he swung on me or something.”
Liggins said Buckner “came after me” and that he backed off and “tried to protect myself” before Buckner was pulled away.
