Kentucky safety Darius West will miss the remainder of the season with a lower leg injury, Mark Stoops announced on Wednesday. The four-star safety was expected to make an immediate impact.
From the Courier-Journal’s Kyle Tucker:
West, a four-star recruit from Lima, Ohio, missed a month of his senior season in high school due to a broken right tibia, then broke the same bone again in a workout in January. Stoops noted that West “came in with an injury; we thought it was healed up – didn’t work out.”
Tough to see Darius West suffer another injury. Hate it for him. Guy that’s worked hard and persevered. Still lots of time ahead for him.
