Kentucky Beats Ohio State: 62-60

I’ll take a quote from Billy Donovan to describe the first half. Kentucky must need to play tougher, because the only way Ohio State is getting that many fouls called against Kentucky is that they must be really good at taking charges. Ohio State shot 15 foul shots in the first half compared to 4 for Kentucky. Miller, Harrellson, Knight, Jones and Liggins all had 2 fouls by the time the first half was over. The Cats did play good defense though, as OSU was only 29.6% overall and 28.6% from 3-point range.

Of course, Harrellson spent most of the first half channeling his inner Chuck Norris, including a quick game of dodgeball with Jarrod Sullinger (you GO Jorts). Harrellson had 12 points in the first half to Sullinger’s 10.

But the Cats hung tough, four players finishing with 3 fouls. Harrellson gets the game ball for finishing with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and singlehandedly handling Sullinger. Liggins was next with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 assists. Knight had 9 points, but the last 2 were MONEY with time ticking off the clock. Jones had 8 points and 8 rebounds.

Kentucky faces North Carolina on Sunday, time for another revenge game.
