Uchebo Released from NC State

Word is coming out now that 4-star 2011 big man Joseph Uchebo has been released from his commitment to NC State. Anytime a coaching change happens you see release requests, but this time it may benefit Kentucky.

John Calipari was looking at several big men to finish out the 2011 class, but lost Stan Simpson to Memphis and Braden Anderson to Kansas. He is still considering God’s Gift Achiuwa, but with Uchebo getting released from his commitment, will Calipari go after him instead?

Uchebo is ranked #75 in the nation by Scout and #92 by Rivals. He was born and raised in Nigeria, and currently attends John Wall’s alma mater (Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh, NC). The Pack Insider actually has a great background of him here.
