Today turned into a firestorm after comments by Bobby Knight enraged the Big Blue Nation and the University of Kentucky.
The question is does it really matter what a has been says, in which the game has passed him by, should really mean anything when there is no truth behind his words?

I was really impressed how Mitch Barnhart came to Calipari’s defense and took up for the players that were slandered by the over the hill relic who is starving for attention.
I am even more impressed with Alan Cutler of LEX18 calling ESPN and asking about their sideshow of a color analyst. Of course the Worldwide Leader had no clue what Alan was talking about..Really?
Sounds like the Mother Ship is doing their usual, ignoring news that hurts their brand, i.e. Ben Roethlisberger and Ohio State Football.
If Bob Knight is not reprimanded for his false accusations then I think he should be made to call a game in Rupp Arena…from skycam. That way you can pair up two disasters so the Big Blue Nation can show how they really feel about each.

[*]The top story of the day was Garrett Tucker’s story on Joseph Uchebo. Uchebo was supposed to have a workout today in front of several coaches and Kentucky was supposedly going to be one of them. Uchebo adds an interesting twist to the 2011 recruiting trail as the Cats are in need of a rebounding big and the Nigerian could fill the spot. Garrett will let you know as soon as he hears anything about the workout, that is if he gets finished with his English paper.
[*]The Bob Knight video was the second article of the day, but since I have spoke my peace on that situation, I will tell you where Coach Cal was tonight. CNYcentral.com is reporting that Calipari was watching 2012 recruit DaJuan Coleman. Cal really likes Coleman, as he also visited him the day after the Cats won the Elite 8.
[*]The 3rd most viewed article of the day was Mitch Barnhart’s reply to Knight, so again, I will talk about something else, Kevin Ware picking UCF. Louisville and the Orlando, Conference USA team has turned into bitter recruiting rivals as the Black Knights are making a habit of stealing kids from the Cardinals. Michael Chandler and Seneca quarterback DaMarcus Smith were both committed to Louisville and both decommitted to go to Disney World. Now Kevin Ware, who was supposed to visit Pitino and the Yum during the Derby Classic has decided to not even take a look. Pretty funny how a Conference USA team is stealing kids left and right from little brother.
[*]The next article everyone read today was Trevor Lacey getting his visit from Coach Cal. Trevor had Bill Self in his house this evening and is supposed to have Jim Calhoun tomorrow and NC State’s new coach Mark Gottfried in on Thursday. It is said that Trevor plans to make some official visits and might wait till the last day of the signing period to decide on a school. May 18 is the last day to sign with a team.
[*]Harrison Barnes decided to stay at North Carolina and play his sophomore season in Chapel Hill. The big question is how are all of the lottery picks deciding to stay in college? Maybe the lockout is scaring them off or maybe their coaches are talking them into staying..who knows? I do know one thing. Cal is not talking his players into staying.
