Bleacher Report ranked Kentucky quarterback Drew Barker 16th in the Top 25 freshmen heading into the 2014 football season.
Though only rated as the No. 119 player in the 2014 recruiting class, Barker is still the most important piece to Kentucky’s incoming class. He enrolled early to challenge Jalen Whitlow, Reese Phillips and others for the starting job, and with coach Mark Stoops telling ESPN.com’s Mark Scarborough he’d like to have a starter named before the end of spring ball, Barker’s time is now.
