My sister graduated from University of Memphis on Sunday May 8[SUP]th[/SUP]. She was supposed to Graduate on Saturday but with the Grizzlies was still playing in the playoffs so they moved it to Sunday. You could tell all the excitement around Fed Ex Forum for the Grizzlies they have great fans for the Grizzlies and the Tigers. We had to take a different way to and from Memphis because I-40 was closed due to the flooding. It took us about 12 hours instead of 9. But it was worth it to have the whole family together on Mother’s Day and for my sister’s big day. Coach Josh Pastner called Monday evening to make sure we got home okay because of all the road closings due to the flooding.
My parents and I went to Wichita State to meet with Gregg Marshall and we got to meet the two new coaches he hired. I had already known Coach Dana Ford. He was an intern at WSU like 4 years ago. I used to workout with him when I was still in Middle School. In fact he attended my first middle school game. He reminded me of that too. The big question was who would beat who when we trained together. I offered to play him again but he said he didn’t have his tennis shoes on. Coach Greg Heiar was the other new coach it was my first time meeting him. We had a good visit it was great hearing about the NIT National Championship run they had.

Coach Capel and I have known each other for about 3 years now. He has stayed in touch with our family this spring and we have a great relationship. Since he hadn’t been coaching he was able to watch me play at the All-American Championship Game in Houston the first of April. He made sure my mom and I both knew he was there watching too. When I heard about his new job at Duke I was happy for him. If Duke does call me I will take the call and definitely listen to what they have to say. We will just have to wait and see on that.
Coach Tubby Smith called me a little over a week ago. I had heard he was going to be contacting me so I wasn’t surprised. He talked to my mom and me for quite a while. He is a great coach won a national championship at Kentucky so it was a pleasure to get the opportunity to talk to him.
We are currently revising my schedule again. I have just been going to school, working out and training getting ready for the busy summer.

My mom got Mother’s Day emails from coaches from Kentucky, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Memphis that was pretty cool.
