The Cats bounced back to take game two of the series in a 24-1 rout of Ball State. Chandler Shepherd fanned 8 and gave up just 2 hits in 7 innings of work. He moves to 3-0 on the season. Micheal Thomas was 3-for-4 with a home run and a career-high six RBI. A.J. Reed extended his hitting streak to 17 games. Reed hit his NCAA leading eighth home run. UK and Ball State wrap up the series on Sunday, March 9 with the first pitch set for 1 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
