Could Harrow to Kentucky Cause Purvis to NC State?

Brett Friedlander of StarNewsOnline.com looks at the scenario of Rodney Purvis and how Ryan Harrow could have improved NC State’s chances at the former Louisville commit.

By signing on to continue his college career at Kentucky, Harrow greatly improved his old school’s chances of landing top prospect Rodney Purvis.

Though Purvis has already Tweeted that Harrow’s decision will not affect his situation, the fact of the matter is that Kentucky now has its point guard for the 2012-13 season.

That doesn’t preclude Wildcats coach John Calipari from continuing to pursue Purvis, rated as the nation’s second-best junior by Rivals. But given Purvis’ desire to stay close to his Raleigh home and the fact that his good friend Torian Graham has already committed to the Wolfpack, Harrow’s arrival in Lexington could be the tipping point that drops him into State coach Mark Gottfried’s lap.

My opinion is Harrow going to Kentucky definitely has to play a part in Purvis final decision. Purvis wouldn’t be human if it didn’t.

The biggest recruiting tool Calipari has is the Bledsoe and Wall combination and showing how he can play 2 NBA point guards on the floor at the same time.

If Purvis wants to come to Kentucky, he will play, and if Harrow is good enough he will play too.

The 5 best players play for John Calipari, no matter what the position.
