Willie Cauley-Stein was considered one of the top defensive players in the country and the most consistent player the Kentucky Wildcats had, that is until the last 3 games.
Willie has scored 3 points total and has spent more time watching Dakari Johnson on the floor than actually playing.
How important is Willie to the Wildcats chances to winning a national championship?
Bleacher Report breaks down each starter and the concerns they need to address to win #9.
Here is what they say about WCS.
Cauley-Stein is too valuable of a player to Kentucky in order for the Wildcats to succeed this season. When he is on the floor, Kentucky is a different team defensively. The Wildcats are able to challenge on the wing more, knowing there is a rim protector in Cauley-Stein behind them.
While he’s never been the best player on the floor, Cauley-Stein has been one of the more valuable players this season. In order for Kentucky to win a national championship, he needs to be on the court and playing defense at the level he is capable of.

It is interesting the John Calipari spoke about “clutter” recently about his players, and how some outside sources have been putting thoughts in their heads.
I am not saying Willie is one of those, but maybe one player’s clutter is affecting Willie’s head.
What do you think is wrong with Willie and what does he need to fix it?
