UK in the NBA: Nightly Notables

It was a huge night in the NBA for former Cats. Here are some of the highlights.

Back to Tuesday first: Jodie Meeks’ 29 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists weren’t enough for the Lakers who were dealt a 120-118 loss. Meeks was 6-for-10 from beyond the arc.

And this happened:

Meeks had 14 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists in a 121-114 loss to Phoenix on Wednesday.

John Wall led the Wizards to a 114-97 win over the Heat scoring 29 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds.

Chuck Hayes had only 2 points, but grabbed 6 rebounds in 16 minutes in the Raptors’ 88-83 loss to the Celtics. Patrick Patterson had 4 rebounds, 2 points and 2 assists in 19 minutes for Toronto. The Celtics announced Keith Bogans is out indefinitely for personal reasons.

Rajon Rondo is expected to return to play on Friday.

Brandon Knight continued his impressive play scoring 27 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds in a loss to the Grizzlies. Tayshaun Prince had 8 points, 2 rebounds and a steal for Memphis.

Reigning Western Conference Player of the Week DeMarcus Cousins notched his 12th-straight double-double in a 111-108 win over the Timberwolves. He logged 20 points, 11 rebounds and 1 block in 34 minutes.

KSTV caught up with Boogie after his Tuesday night game with the Pacers. He shared some advice for Julius Randle and UK’s underclassmen:

Terrence Jones scored a career-high 25 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in the Rockets’ 103 win over the Pelicans. He had a monstrous 6 blocked shots, also a career-high for Jones.

Anthony Davis went for 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in another close loss for the Pelicans. Darius Miller had 2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and a block in 30 minutes.
