So news has come out this afternoon that the NCAA is not allowing Joe B. Hall to coach the UK Legends team, in fact they also aren’t allowing that team to be called the UK Legends. Not only that, but all of those great Kentucky basketball players of the past that had an open invite to the game to be honored, yeah that’s no longer allowed either.
As much as the NCAA is trying to rain on our parade (oh the words I wish I could say!), I was trying to think of the brightside.
First of all, the game will go on and it will still be spectacular. Seeing our favorite Cats play in Rupp Arena once more is something no one thought would ever happen, and will still be a great experience.
Secondly, even with all of the [FONT=Tahoma]restrictions [/FONT]the NCAA is implementing, this will still be a great recruiting tool. There is no doubt the recruits are taking notice, on top of that, knowing this game will nearly sell out in AUGUST lets those young players know Kentucky is the place to be.
The most important reason to be happy regardless of the news that came out this afternoon, at least we aren’t these guys:
