L.J. Peak Likes UK, will Visit Wednesday

With July in the rear-view mirror and August in full swing, it’s the time of the year for recruits to begin to take visits to respective schools. Many top recruits have expressed their desire to visit Lexington in August, but a wild-card that no one expected will visit Kentucky’s campus first.

L.J. Peak (Class of 2014, Gaffney High School, South Carolina) will be on campus Wednesday for an unofficial visit. BluegrassHoops.com had the chance to catch up with Peak and talk about his recruitment and what he expects going into Lexington.

South Carolina and Clemson have already offered the 6-foot-4 wing, and Kentucky, Marquette, Georgetown, Florida State, Northwestern, Wake Forest, Tulane, Florida, and Oregon State have all expressed interest. However, two schools are leading the way for Peak to this point.

“Kentucky and South Carolina are my favorites right now,” he began. “Kentucky was always a dream school for me when I was younger.”
